About Sharon

Personal Philosophy

I am a caring and experienced Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in Johanneburg.

I  value integrity, sincerity, honesty and compassion.

My approach is realistic and grounded, and I am do not make promises of a "quick fix".

I take a holistic view - considring emotions, mind, body, faith/spirituality, and external influences.

I believe the answers you need are already within you.

You have a deep inner wisdom - my role is to help you explore and access this .

Your healing comes through courageous and honest self-reflection.

This can lead to clearer choices, adapting  quicker, and taking effective and meaningful action.

You can move from 'stuck' to greater  openness to opportunities and different possibilities.

Your life is a journey of moving in and out of balance continually.

More moments of possibility and spaciousness.  Moments of calm.

Its your life.  You are worth the journey.

Picture a relentless cycle of constant activity— like a hamster moving frantically on its wheel. No stopping, no rest, no breathing spaces.

Until the hamster either falls off or collapses from stress, exhaustion or illness.

You live constantly moving in and out, and into balance again.
Circumstances change. You learn and grow.

Relationshjps start, change and end.

Events happen in your environment  (potholes, water, electricity).

You get to report to a new manager, or you are are promoted (or not), or you face possible retrenchment.

You go in and out of balance.

At time you lose your sense of who you are and where you are going.

You lose meaningful connections.

Sometimes you are aware of this, sometimes not.

You can live a fuller and more  fulfilling life by:

Continually restoring your balance

Deepening your awareness of self and others

Being more alert to your reactivity

Living according to your highest values.
Learning coping strategies and skills

Regulating your emotional and mental reactions

Understanding  and manageing your pain and confusion

Celebrating your strengths and achievements

Deepening compassion to yourself and to others

SELF AWARENESS, HEALING AND GROWTH

CREATIVE SELF EXPRESSION with different art materials

When you understand yourself and others, you begin your own path to healing and growth.

Together, we look at your emotional, mental, and behavioral patterns, noticing those deep-rooted habits.

This helps you become more aware of what triggers you,

what calms and replenishes you,

What allows you to make better choices and move forward with clear intention and purpose.

You explore using color, shape, and texture as a gateway to your own self-exploration and expression.

You don't need any artistic skills.

You only need a willingness to explore and play in a safe, supportive space.

Find a powerful way to express yourself when your words feel stuck or simply inadequate.

MINDFUL AWARENESS AND COMPASSION

You begin to slow down, notice your thoughts and feelings, and respond with more kindness instead of harsh self‑criticism.

You learn simple, practical ways to ground yourself when you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in your head.

You can pause, breathe, and choose a different way forward.

Learn to look at things with curiosity instead of harsh judgement.

With kindess instead of self dislike and shame.

Feel more connected to yourself and others.
